About VNG Testing
Videonystagmography known as VNG for short, is a modern diagnostic test used in evaluating inner ear and central motor functions. The testing process consists of wearing high tech goggles that track eye movement while undergoing positional changes and observing various visual stimuli on an electronic screen.

What is VNG Testing Used For?
VNG testing can be used for a variety conditions. The most common purpose of the test is to evaluate the cause of dizziness and determine if the cause is from inner ear disease such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). The test itself is not just one singular test, but often consists of a series of 10-20 small individual tests.
